You might even want to get headphones with a microphone attached so you can record yourself practicing Spanish. There are freeware programs like Audacity which allow you to record, edit and play audio files. The equipment necessary for this endeavor is basic and easy to acquire. You may even want to download some instructional files to your iPod so you can learn on the go.
Learning Spanish online is something you should consider if you've always wanted to speak the language or can speak a few words but want to become fluent. Even if you have no plans to travel to Spain or Mexico it is still quite handy to know Spanish in the United States as there is a large Spanish-speaking population in this country. Bilingual individuals can even put their skills to work as teachers or translators. Whether you're learning Spanish for fun, for your career or for travel purposes, you will find plenty of instructional materials on the Internet.
